Thread Chasing Wood- George Kromka-03/14/26

About this event

Students will learn how to hand chase threads in wood and mate the pieces correctly.
I will also show other methods that can be used to thread wood including:
Threading machine
Taps and dies made for wood threading
Metal taps and dies that can be used for wood.
Tools used for the class well be spindle roughing gouge, spindle gouge, skew, point tool, parting tool and thread chasing tools (class provided).
We may also allow students to rent the threading tools after class, with deposit and small rental fee. ($50.00 deposit & $10.00 month rental).
Tools retail from $100.00 to $ 150.00 a set

Students should bring inside and outside spring calibers, Venier calibers (either dial or digital), safety equipment and lunch.
We can always use assistants to help with setup, cleanup and students.  


Nonmembers may go to New Member Signup join, pay dues and then register for class as member. This will enter you in database and if you take a class again it will let you register as a member.
